Pallas Controller

Introduction

Pallas is an L2+ level autonomous driving domain controller designed based on TI's TDA4 platform. It integrates a computing domain with ASIL-B safety level and an ASIL-D safety level MCU safety island on a single chip, featuring high integration, high safety, excellent computing performance, low power consumption, and rich interfaces.
The Pallas domain controller supports camera signal input, with an input channel bandwidth of up to 6Gbps, supporting up to 8 input channels. It also integrates a visual signal preprocessing accelerator and depth and motion perception accelerator for image signal processing and multi-sensor fusion. Additionally, it includes a C7x-based DSP deep learning accelerator for accelerating image and other data, with a computing power of 8TOPS.
Pallas also integrates a 1000M Ethernet switch module, supporting up to 8 ports (6 ports of 1000MBase-T1 and 2 ports of 1000Base-TX), allowing for the connection of LiDAR signals and network camera signals.
Compared to traditional typical automotive domain controllers with separate MCU solutions, Pallas adopts an integrated approach for the computing domain and MCU safety island, utilizing a more advanced ARM Cortex-R architecture, with the MCU safety island employing an isolated independent branch. It achieves fault protection and recovery without virtualization, resulting in higher reliability and safety.
Pallas has a rich set of expansion interfaces, supporting multiple CAN buses, RS232 interfaces, GPI interfaces, GPO interfaces, DAC analog signal output, and ADC analog signal input. It supports applications for automotive gateways.
